    The answer is not a single word, or even a sentence let alone a paragraph. The answer is in the Baja experience. After experiencing Baja one comes away with a whole different outlook on education and its value. The Society of Automotive Engineers created these student competitions as a way for college students to enrich their academic experience. Participating in Baja SAE grants one with a select set of skills that are in the highest demand in today's society.

    With one year of Baja behind them, a student will find themselves confident with an array of skills including, but not limited to: vehicle and system design, fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, computer assisted design, public speaking, rally racing, mechanics, and of course, academics.
